Aircraft Courses for ARFF Departments

40 HR BASIC AIRCRAFT RESCUE & FIRE FIGHTING
Date: May 5 - 9, 2008

FAR 139.319 FAA Approved
Class covers the entire 40 hr. "Basic" - Approved by the F.A.A. as initial training for airport firefighters. Curriculum includes classroom instruction as well as hands-on practical training utilizing firefighting/rescue equipment and procedures. Also included are practical "Live Burns" which not only exceed the F.A.A.'s minimum requirements under Part 139, but also provides students with valuable experience with different types of extinguishing agents, application techniques, utilization of SCBA and attack scenarios. Upon completion students will receive a Wyoming State Certification as an Aircraft Rescue Firefighter.

16 HR REFRESHER TRAINING
Dates: May 1 - 2, 2008 & August 21 - 22, 2008

FAR 139.319 FAA Required
This class breifly covers the 11 subjects required by the FAA for airport firefighter recurrent training and includes the same "Live Burns" that are part of the "40 HR BASIC", which exceed the FAA's minimum requirements.

ANNUAL FAA REQUIRED BURNS ONLY
Dates: May 2, May 9, June 13, June 20, August 22, September 5, 2008

FAR 139.319
FOR AIRPORT FIREFIGHTERS.
Class includes safety breifing and appropriate burns using the aircraft fire simulator. All of these required burns will be conducted during morning hours.

FACILITY RENTALS/PIT BURNS
Your department will have the option to train firefighters on your department’s procedures and SOP’s. The cost of the pit rental does not include the cost of materials(e.g. fuel, water, foam, dry chemical, etc.)

All pit rentals will be from 0800am until 1200pm and from 1200 (noon) until 5:00pm.
The Natrona County International Airport Fire Department will offer their equipment and vehicles to assist you in the training, as well as provide additional SAFETY while at our facility.

***PLEASE ADVISE US IF YOU HAVE ANY MEDICAL PROBLEMS OR IF YOU ARE TAKING ANY MEDICATIONS THAT WILL HINDER YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THESE CLASSES. REMEMBER, FIRE TRAINING PRACTICALS DO REQUIRE STRENUOUS ACTIVITY AND ALL STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO PARTICIPATE TO RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION.***
