AIRPORT RECEIVES SECOND PASSENGER SCREENING LANE EQUIPMENT
Monday, June 10, 2013
Casper / Natrona County International Airport announced the addition of a second passenger screening lane in the terminal building. “The second screening lane will provide a great deal of flexibility for passenger screening at the Airport,” said Glenn Januska, Airport Manager. In the past few years the Airport has seen a change from 30 passenger turbo-prop aircraft to 50 passenger regional jets. Allegiant Air service started with 150 seat MD-80 jets but those aircraft were upgraded to 166 seats last year. “We frequently have times when an Allegiant flight is going out around the same time a United flight or Delta flight is departing, or sometimes all three. With all the seats, those are the times when passenger processing gets really tight,” said Januska. Training on the equipment should be completed in the next two weeks.
