C/NCIA is more than an airport. Beyond commercial flights, we are a unique, community-focused asset providing direct economic impact and essential services. However, our reach extends beyond Casper and even beyond Wyoming. C/NCIA is home to the Wyoming Regional Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) training facility, which welcomes airport firefighters from all over the country.

After 25 years of operation and thousands of firefighters trained, the Wyoming Regional ARFF training facility continues to offer top-of-the-line training making it one of the premier facilities in the United States. As one of the few locations nationwide to still use diesel for fire simulations, firefighters receive the most realistic training experience, ensuring they are properly prepared to respond to potential aircraft emergencies at their home airports.

Over the years, the Wyoming Regional ARFF facility has trained airport firefighters from more than 75 departments nationwide. The state-of-the-art classroom, expert instructors, and hands-on training make it the ultimate choice for all airport firefighting training needs.

ARFF by the Numbers:

  • 2,750+ Firefighters Trained
  • 20+ CEU Topics Covered
  • 75+ Airport Departments Prepared for Fire Rescue

As of January 2025, the ARFF facility also has a new digital home, reflecting the exceptional training it provides. Here, prospective students can learn about the training center, view upcoming courses, register, prep for training, and learn more about Casper and C/NCIA. Don’t just take it from us, though.
