It’s that time of year again. Back to school has begun, so let’s talk flight school. Casper is lucky to have two incredible flight schools located at the Casper/Natrona County International Airport, and we’d like to introduce the newest one: Atlas Flight School. This fall, hit the books and the skies with Casper’s newest flight school.

Altas Flight School is where students can discover the art and awe of flight. They take pride in their impressive fleet of five planes, experienced team, and full-motion simulator. Students have the benefit of learning in aircraft that are meticulously maintained to the highest standards of safety and reliability, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable flying experience every time they take to the skies.

“I started Atlas Flight School just over two years ago and appreciate the long, wide runways and control tower at C/NCIA, which provide the best experience for learning pilots. We encourage anyone to check out Atlas Flight School for the pilot certificate, rating, or endorsement you’re looking to get. Our professional and skilled team, operating here on the Airport grounds, is ready to teach you,” says Owner, Mike McKenna.

When it comes to flight schools in Wyoming, Atlas Flight School is particularly unique, with the only full-motion flight simulator in the state. This simulator allows their instructors to complete actual flight training in an airplane, so students can learn a variety of skills in the simulator before they even get in the airplane, setting them up for great success. Whether it’s for a private pilot, instrument, or commercial license, students save time and money while gaining confidence and extensive knowledge in their skills, making the entire learning experience much better.

“Casper is the number one place in the country to train pilots. Here, we can train in all conditions and terrain, such as high winds, mountains, ice, and snow. However, when the weather here in Casper isn’t safe for flying, our full-motion simulator allows students to still work and train with the motion of the simulator that provides a life-like flying sensation similar to what they’d experience in the air. Plus, at C/NCIA, we have a control tower, which not all pilot training facilities have. The control tower allows for the best experience for new pilots to learn rules, regulations, and communication,” says McKenna.

Just like Atlas Flight School appreciates the long, wide runways and control tower at C/NCIA for training their students, we appreciate their efforts to train new pilots on the Airport grounds! If you’re ready for back-to-school, Atlas Flight School is ready to help you hit the books and the skies. Learn more about their staff, safety, and schedules at https://www.atlasflightschool.com/.
