The rumors are true – Run the Runway 5K is back after a three-year hiatus! The Casper/Natrona County International Airport is thrilled to bring back this one-of-a-kind run/walk on July 11th. Mark your calendar now and plan to join us for a morning at the airport, where you get a rare chance to step onto an active runway and experience it from a new perspective. Did we mention? Fun runners, 5K enthusiasts, marathon trainees, aviation fanatics, avid walkers, and families, take a Saturday morning to new heights this summer in an adrenaline-pumping adventure like no other. This fun run and walk is for anyone who loves adventure, aviation, outdoor recreation, and community. Together, we’ll hit the runway for a 5K run/walk, with proceeds going to the Fly Casper Alliance Scholarship Fund, supporting Casper College Flight School students.
Grab your friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, and anyone you know interested in this unique race experience (you’ll be surprised how small you feel on a runway!). The course features a flat terrain, making it the perfect 5K for all ages and abilities. Plus, we’ll have the airport fire trucks out, community and partner booths to visit, as well as snacks, beverages, and airport goodies.
Down to the nitty-gritty – here’s what you need to know:
- The run will be held on July 11th from 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
- Registration is $15 and closes on July 3rd. No day-of registration!
- Registration proceeds go to the Fly Casper Alliance Scholarship Fund.
- Children under five are free.
- No pets permitted. Service animals welcome.
- Participants will park in a separate lot from the main lot. See parking map here.
